Abbey Road School Eco-club on their green travels

Abbey Road School eco day

On Monday 20th November, the Abbey Road School in West Bridgford sent their Eco-Club on a fact finding expedition to see how green Nottingham’s public transport is.

Starting on a new NCT Bio-Gas bus, they travelled on Green Line 6 into the City on one of the greenest buses in the country.

NCT’s Bio-Gas buses have been in use since the summer, and reduce Co2 emissions by 84%, as well as significantly reducing emissions of NOx and particulate matter too.

After arriving in the City, they caught an electric tram to the tram depot and after looking round the Control Room, they then met Ellie the Electric bus who took them all the way back to school.
