Appeal after man threatened with knife and taken to a Nottingham cashpoint

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after reports of a robbery in Nottingham.

Police received a report that a man was walking along North Sherwood Street when a man threatened him with a knife before dragging him to a cashpoint on Mansfield Road and ordering him to withdraw money.

The cashpoint was out of service so the offender took the victim’s Samsung Galaxy Edge mobile phone, wallet and two bank cards before fleeing the scene.

It happened at about 5.40pm on Thursday (9 November 2017).

Following the incident a withdrawal was made from the victim’s bank account.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, about 25-years-old, around 5ft 10ins tall and is of medium build. He was wearing a black and white bandana and a cap.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 660 of 9 November 2017, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
