A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a road collision overnight in West Bridgford.
The accident happened on Musters Road 200 yards from its junction with Melton Road at 02:30 today (Friday, August 11th).
The vehicle mounted the pavement, hit a tree and overturned multiple times before coming to rest on its roof.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to the scene, a spokesman said,
‘A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a breathalyser test was carried out at the scene. We can confirm that this was a one-car incident.’
‘The man has been released following his arrest pending an investigation.’
East Midlands Ambulance Service said,
‘We were alerted by Nottinghamshire Police to an incident on Musters Road in West Bridgford. A patient had sustained injuries after being involved in a one-vehicle road traffic collision. We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and one patient was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre.’
