Arrest after Nottingham city centre knife incident

A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a disturbance in Nottingham city centre.
Officers were called to reports of a group of people fighting in Old Lenton Street at around 4.35pm today (Thursday 7 December) but they dispersed when officers arrived.

The injured man was later found with what appeared to be a knife injury to his hand in Lower Parliament Street, at the junction with George Street. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A male has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may be helpful to the investigation is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 568 of 7 December 2017.
