Property consultants, Bruton Knowles, has joined forces with Southwell Junior Rugby Club, supporting local grass roots sport with sponsorship and profile-raising.
The Nottingham office of Bruton Knowles has forged a partnership with Southwell RFC, which will be part of a new sponsorship agreement where Bruton Knowles has agreed to sponsor the junior team’s kit, covering age groups of six-to-12-year-olds as well as providing training tops for the Under 11 team.
Partner at Bruton Knowles Nottingham office, James Bailey, said: “We are really excited to be teaming up with Southwell Junior Rugby club, especially as we are already connected with Nottingham RFC through a successful sponsorship package. It’s great to be involved with another promising Rugby club in Nottinghamshire, this time at grass roots level.”
“Being able to support local teams not only allows us to build relationships in our local community, but it also offers us the chance to be involved in the future of sport and lets us strengthen links between the professional and amateur parts of the game, which is essential for junior development.”
Bruton Knowles already has an established connection with Nottingham Rugby. Southwell RFC and Nottingham RFC have also forged closer links which has seen Nottingham RFC former first team captain, Dan Montagu, appointed as director of rugby at Southwell.
Southwell Rugby Club clubhouse and events manager, Alex Brown said: “We are proud to be working with Bruton Knowles and their generous sponsorship of our juniors is much appreciated.
“At Southwell RFC we are proud to be able to offer over 300 local children aged six to 18 a safe place to enjoy sport and become part of the rugby family with all that offers as they grow and develop into young adults.
“This would not be possible without the huge commitment of our 70 plus volunteers who coach and manage the teams and the club, and the support of our sponsors. Thank you to Bruton Knowles for their sponsorship of the Junior Section this year, it really makes a difference.”
In addition to providing services to the Southwell junior team, Bruton Knowles has also arranged for the talented athletes to attend the league match between Nottingham RFC and London Welsh on Friday 7 April which is being sponsored by the property consultants. As well as free admission, a handful of juniors will be selected as match day mascots for the Nottingham team.
