Demolition of Gordon Road building approved: New build offices and apartments planned

The planning application for the demolition of the former John German offices at the corner of Gordon Road and Eltham Road has been approved.

Swish Architecture, based in Nottingham applied for a change of use to take the building down and to design and build a completely new mixed use facility.

This involves the demolition of the existing building to construct a new three storey building comprising A2 Financial and professional services and C3 Residential Accommodation.

There were 5 public comments on the application, all in objection.

A spokesman for Swish said,

“Swish Architecture & Planning are pleased to obtain planning permission on our clients behalf for the eye catching mixed use development in a prime location within the heart of West Bridgford. We have worked closely with the Client, Local Authority and taken on board local resident comments and we are thankful for their support throughout the application. ”
