The former Jayline premises in Rossell House on Tudor Square is to become home to a national estate agent.
William H. Brown, part of the Sequence group of brands will move into the empty premises later this year.
Refurbishment is currently underway at the former independent hardware store that stood in Tudor Square for over 33 years.
Jayline, who owned the hardware business for five years, cited Brexit as adding 15% to costs as their reason for closing down in April 2017.
Established in 1890, William H Brown started by offering an auctions and valuation service from modest surroundings from a hut on a stackyard in Ruskington, Lincolnshire, but over the years, the name has continued to grow, now with 110 branches and part of the Sequence Group of estate agents. The brand is seen as one of the most established names in the industry.
