Fraser Brown has expanded its family law team with the appointment of Julie McCrery who joins the Nottingham office as an associate.
Julie, who has over 22 years of family law experience, joins Nottingham law firm Fraser Brown from Sharp Young & Pearce (latterly Rothera Sharp) and has worked in the Nottinghamshire area since studying at Nottingham Trent University.
Julie practices all areas of family law but specialises in financial settlements for divorce/separation/dissolution. Others areas of expertise include cohabitant disputes, family matters, children’s matters and child arrangement orders, parental responsibility, removal from jurisdiction, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial cohabitation agreements and change of name deeds.
Julie is also a trained collaborative lawyer – an alternate form of dispute resolution which offers parties a more holistic approach to resolution.
Julie, from Bramcote, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for me to build on an established and respected family law team and to exercise my specialism in finances. I also plan to expand the teams offer in prenuptial and postnuptial agreement work which is a particular interest of mine.
“Fraser Brown is a dynamic firm in a considerable period of growth and one that I have been watching with interest for a while. It’s great to be on the team.”
Patrick Wood, managing partner at Fraser Brown, said: “Julie is a very welcome addition to the family law team and brings a wealth experience as well as an established reputation in family law in Nottingham and the wider East Midlands.
“Julie’s addition to the team will strengthen our offering significantly with her level of expertise on complex family matters, which we continue to see great demand for.”
