Job Title – UK Finance Coordinator

Hours – 5 days a week – Either Full time [35 hours] or Minimum of 27.5 depending on candidate.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual who believes in the value of education and is keen to use their skills and expertise to join our team managing our UK Accounts and also working closely with our Finance Director in Guatemala. Education for the Children is a charity operating a school based in Guatemala with the head office located in Nottingham. We are a small but committed team of individuals making a huge impact to over 650 children who without the UK support would not enjoy an education.
EFTC uses Salesforce CRM so knowledge of, and the ability to develop it is preferred.
Along with other accounting software, proficiency in SAGE 50 or SAGE Live is desirable.
Driving licence preferable.
To oversee EFTC Accounts and ensure obligations are maintained and on time, including but not limited to; monitoring all bank deposits and reconciliation, payments, transferring funds to Guatemala, creating annual UK budget, recording of restricted income, payment of invoice and following up late Child Sponsorship donations as well as general credit control on outstanding payments, managing receipts, bill payments, petty cash/float.
To develop a clear and regular flow of communication with the Guatemala Finance Director. Liaise on monthly accounts.
Monitoring payments via website/Paypal/Virgin Money etc. enabling payments to be made via these media when needed.
To manage income and expenditure budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, strong financial management and ownership of income targets for you and other UK team members.
To compile and submit annual accounts on time to the Charities Commission.
To update/input all areas of UK business using Salesforce, including financial donations, recurring donations and annual/Bi-annual payments.
To oversee all event budgets with the support of the UK team.
To create P&Ls for every UK-based event, ensuring invoicing and payments are on time and in keeping with the budget. Communicating status of P&L.
To ensure they meet projected net income.
Work flexibly where appropriate, evenings and weekends to ensure full event support and delivery.
Work with due regard for EFTC core values and objectives.
Proactive team player who recognises opportunities to improve the role and to assist colleagues where necessary.
