Man charged with Newark assault after video appeal

A 47-year-old man has been charged in connection with an assault on another man inside the Muskham Ferry pub in Newark.

The victim had been enjoying a drink with his wife and three children on Saturday 17 June and had gone to the bar when he was pushed and then head butted.

James Townhill of Heysham Close in Lincoln was arrested and charged with assault on Saturday (1 July 2017) following a media appeal and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Monday 17 July.
