Housebuilder David Wilson Homes East Midlands has enlisted the help of a top interior designer, Artspace, to help capture the surroundings of Nottinghamshire at Edwalton Park in its show homes.

The four bedroom Eden and five bedroom Litchfield show homes have been expertly designed to reflect the local area and one of them even includes a stunning mural of the city’s skyline.

The show homes, which are located on Melton Road in Edwalton, provide house hunters with a first look at the quality and style of a David Wilson home at the development and offer inspiration around how they can put their mark on their new home.

Jason Hearn, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Design flair is an important requirement of the housebuilding process and showcasing the finished product in an inventive and inspirational way is vital to us here at David Wilson Homes.

“With this fantastic development we especially wanted to celebrate Nottinghamshire and the surroundings of Edwalton as a whole, and mural of Nottingham’s skyline is a perfect way to do this.

“Since the launch of our development, we have had a fantastic reaction to our show homes, with customers asking how they can steal their looks for their own homes.”

The Lichfield show home has been designed with glamour and elegance in mind, and this chic look has been achieved through the use of ornate furniture and exquisite lighting. It has a grown up colour palette of white, grey and dusky- grey mauve, that is warmed up through the use of natural woods and linens.

The teenager’s room features a quirky light fitting and a stand-out wall art of the Nottingham skyline. The skyline is a focal point in the home that shows classic landmarks such as the Nottingham Castle, St Mary’s Church and Trent Bridge.

Kate Letteriello, Managing Director of Artspace Interior Design, said: “In the Lichfield potential buyers must spend time in the den which has been created with an architect in mind.

“It’s tranquil but has an industrial edge that reflects the theme of the room, and we hope people feel inspired in there!”

The Eden has a very modern and contemporary style that is fresh and inviting.

This show home has a botanical theme to it and features a light and bright colour scheme of various shades of green with white and accents of oak. The theme came together through the wallpaper, use of oak and some big hand-painted artwork that our in-house artists created.

The Eden has a dreamy little girl’s bedroom where the artists at Artspace hand painted soft, fluffy clouds all the way around the room. The plush soft furnishings were used to make this bedroom extra cosy and inviting.

Kate added: “The artwork in The Eden is something people should take some time to look at. As you first come in to the home there is a collage that could be an idea on how to display your own artwork and photos.”

There are currently a range of three and four bedroom homes available to reserve, with prices starting from £263,995.
