National PR agency boosts profile with regional division

A Nottingham based national PR and communications agency is marking ten successful years in business with the launch of a new division focused solely on the East Midlands region.

London PR, based in Nottingham’s Creative Quarter, has serviced clients across the UK since 2007.

Clients are regularly featured by national newspapers and magazines as well as on TV programmes such as The One Show and BBC Breakfast.

Now to celebrate the company’s tenth anniversary year it has launched NottsPR.com to cater exclusively for clients in the East Midlands. It’s hoped that the move will lead to the creation of at least four new jobs during 2017.

The agency specialises in national and regional media relations and also offers social media services for a range of consumer facing businesses.

Regional clients have included property consultants Jones Lang LaSalle, Nottingham Trent University, Confetti Media Group, Nottinghamshire Business Ventures (NBV) and BMI Healthcare.

The agency has built its reputation within the PR industry through online coverage and search engine optimisation (SEO) for web based retailers and other internet focused businesses.

Founder Steve McComish, from Wollaton, has been named as one of the 100 most influential people in UK public relations by trade bible PR Week – the only Nottingham based PR professional to receive the accolade.

The former Nottingham Post journalist founded the agency in 2007 following a career in national news, which most notably included a six year spell on the news desk of the Daily Mirror.

Steve said the launch of the new division will offer something new to businesses based in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

He said: “We are celebrating ten years in business this year and we want to mark that and let people know that we’re here in Nottingham.

“Our London PR brand has been very successful for us and has helped us attract clients not only in London and the south east but all over the UK.

“We have also worked on several overseas projects. One of our key retained clients is based in California and we also worked on the launch of the Titanic II project for Australian billionaire Clive Palmer.

“Until now we’ve maintained something of a low profile in our home city. But to mark ten years we decided it was time to give something back to Nottingham.
