Forming part of the new Bierkeller complex on Friar Lane which officially opens to the public on the 17th March, the Bierkeller bar within the basement level of the venue will celebrate all things Bavaria.
The menu brings together a variety of wursts, from the spicy panzer Bratwurst, to the smoked Focke-Wulf. Foodies can also enjoy a selection of burgers, mixed plates and something sweet to finish the night off with.
But it is the beer that will steal the show, with a menu showcasing traditional German tipples such as Erdinger, Warsteiner, in-house Bierkeller classics and a range of Timmermans flavoured beers in both bottle and draught form.
Bierkeller will also be the bar of choice for drinkers looking to enjoy a variety of themed events throughout the week, with a different offering across six nights. Visitors can look forward to Game Show night on Tuesday, Student night on a Wednesday with discounted £4 steins, a Retro Disco on Thursday and Bierkeller Bingo on Sunday – not forgetting the Oompah shows on Friday and Saturday!
Sean Cullen, General Manager at Bierkeller Nottingham is excited by the impending arrival of the chain’s latest venue, saying “Nottingham has several themed bars and pubs in its portfolio already, but nothing similar to Bierkeller”.
A national chain of bars, Bierkeller comprises of three bars in one venue – the traditional ‘Bierkeller’, ‘Around the World Bar and Lounge’ and the ‘Shooters’ sports bar. Each offers something uniquely different and brings together a celebration of food and beer in different styles and themes. The Bierkeller will be the one-stop-shop for all things German, and Sean is confident that its varied nights and unique German selling points will draw in Nottingham’s drinkers.
“The Bierkeller is fantastic at bringing a slice of true Bavarian culture to people’s doorsteps, so whether customers are keen to experience the hearty Oompah Shows or sample new beers, Bierkeller will deliver it all. For a traditional German experience, our Bierkeller bar will be the go-to place for any Nottingham night out!” added Sean.
Bierkeller Nottingham opens to the public on the 17th March 2017.
