Managing director Martin Hilton said: “We are very proud of what we have achieved in delivering great beer, great food and great hospitality.

“It just hasn’t been received as well as we hoped over the year we have been open.”

The company will focus on Birmingham, where it continues to thrive after three years of operating in the city.

The bar opened in Nottingham in March last year with the promise of great craft beer and great British food with a twist.

The building was refurbished at a cost of £500,000.
