The Nottingham Lions are pleased to announce the appointment of two new Media Officers for the forthcoming NIHL Moralee Conference D1 season.
Jono Bullard and Chris Gadsby have both been welcomed into the Pride, as the Lions look to expand their Media and Communications team, ahead of the start of the new season, and their step-up to second tier hockey, in September.
Jono needs no introduction to the Nottingham hockey faithful, having been involved in hockey and live sports broadcasting for a number of years now. He is also the well-known voice of the independent Nottingham Panthers podcast ‘The Cat’s Whiskers’.
Keen hockey fan Chris, is a recent Radio graduate from the University of South Wales, Cardiff, and having previously worked with Newport County AFC, Cardiff City Ladies FC and the Welsh Women’s National Football Team, he has now returned home to Newark, following the completion of his studies.
General Manager Danny Harrison, was delighted to bring the duo into the Lions’ den for the 2017/18 season, saying:
“We’d like to welcome Jono and Chris to the team here at the NIC. Having made the step up to Tier 2 for the new season, we knew we needed to significantly improve our media output and it’s fantastic to have secured their services for what should be a very exciting season.
“Between them, they bring a wealth of experience and professionalism to the team, as well as an excellent knowledge of the game. Our followers will no doubt see a vast improvement in the team’s match reports, social media, plus other areas, as the season goes along.”
The Lions are still looking for volunteers to assist with home and away match reports and social media for the new season. If you are interested in joining the team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
