Nottingham man jailed for firearm and ammunition offences

A man, who was found with a handgun and ammunition in his house, has been sentenced to five years and eight months.

Working on intelligence, officers searched a house in Basford on Friday 5 May 2017 and found the weapons.

Ijah Lavelle Moore was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

The 25-year-old of Nottingham Road, Nottingham pleaded guilty to the offences on Tuesday 18 July and was sentenced today (Thursday 3
August 2017) at Nottingham Crown Court.
