Support volunteers wanted in Nottingham

Family Lives works around the clock, transforming the lives of families, supporting parents and making happier relationships, happier families and a stronger society.

What do our volunteers do?

Our Befriending Volunteers support families who are going through difficult periods. They visit the parents in their homes or in a community setting and provide a sounding board by listening, supporting and sometimes signposting them to other services. By building supportive one to one relationships they help parents to build confidence and skills, achieve goals and move positively forward.

About Family Lives…

Family Lives is a national charity that works for and with parents and families. We recognise and value the different types of families that exist and make innovative and accessible services available to them. We believe that it is normal for all families to have difficulties from time to time and we provide free, non-judgmental support. In Nottingham we deliver a Volunteer Befriending service for families in need of support funded by Nottingham City Council.
