A new school minibus service for students travelling from West Bridgford has been put on by one of the East Midlands’ leading independent co-educational schools.
The introduction of the new service follows a surge in numbers of children travelling to Ockbrook School in Derbyshire from the Nottingham suburbs.
Faith Tucker is a Year 11 student at Ockbrook School who lives in West Bridgford. She says: “The new bus to West Bridgford is great and so much easier to get us to and from school each day. The drivers are friendly and it’s a good opportunity get some quiet reading done.”
Tom Brooksby, Headmaster, Ockbrook School, says: “We have ever increasing numbers of students travelling from Nottingham and want to make their daily journey as easy as possible. Our wonderful school is a bit of a hidden gem from families in this area and they ought to know we are a viable option for those looking for outstanding private education.
“The extended service picks up students in their distinctive scarlet blazers, delivering them to and from Ockbrook each day and is one of three minibus services that we provide.”
The daily minibus leaves County Hall travelling through the city with additional pick-ups in Bramcote, Beeston, Chilwell and Wollaton.
Ockbrook School caters for boys and girls aged three to 18, has its own nursery and thriving sixth form and offers weekly and full boarding for boys and girls from age 11. The quality of education, pastoral care and extra-curricular activities is excellent with a very competitive fee structure compared to local rivals.
Ockbrook School’s first Open Day of the year is on Saturday 1st October from 10am until 1pm. For further details and enquiries, contact Registrar Juliette Sheldon on 01332 673532 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
