A drug dealer was found in possession of more than 100 deal bags of crack cocaine when he was stopped and searched by a police officer.
The officer was on patrol in Eastwood on 21 February 2024 when he spotted Philip Noon walking along Princes Street.
As Noon was searched, a plastic bag containing more than 100 individual deals of crack cocaine was found and he was arrested.
The drugs are worth more than £1,000.
Noon, now aged 41, was due to stand trial last year before eventually pleading guilty to possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.
Appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, Noon, of Eastwood was given a two-year jail sentence suspended for two years.
PC Richard Reynolds, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Illegal drugs cause huge amounts of damage in our communities and we are always on the lookout for people involved in their supply.
“I am pleased this case has now been resolved and hope this sentence gives Noon the encouragement he needs to change the direction of his life.”
