Officers have seized more than 100 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine following a routine patrol of Victoria Park.
Officers on patrol noticed suspicious activity on the park on Saturday 20 December just after 10 am.
They recovered more than 100 wraps of Class A drugs including heroin and crack cocaine as well as a quantity of cash.
Mobile phones were also seized as part of the wider investigation.
Wayne Beswick, aged 42, of Skipton Circus in Nottingham, has been arrested and charged with a number of offences.
These include possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of a Class C substance and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
He has been remanded into custody.
PC George Staton said:
“Drugs such as heroin and crack cocaine destroy neighbourhoods and that’s why having officers on routine patrols like this are vital.
“This was quite the discovery and means these dangerous drugs are no longer in circulation on the streets of our city and county.
“We have also arrested and charged a suspect with a number of offences.”
Sergeant Jono Pothecary added:
“We will continue to disrupt the supply of drugs in Nottingham. This was a fantastic collaboration between police teams in order to secure the charge and remand. We will not stop in our pursuit of a safer Nottingham for people to live, work and visit.”
