A boy was arrested after another child was targeted in an attempted robbery in Nottingham .
The 11-year-old victim was on his way home from school when he was targeted in in Thurman Street, Radford, at around 3.30pm on Thursday.
Officers say the boy was pushed to the ground by an attacker who demanded his mobile phone. The boy was able to run away and nothing was taken.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of attempted robbery and has been released under investigation.
Chief Inspector Alan Pearson said: “This was an upsetting incident for the victim and his family and we are determined to get to the bottom of what happened here.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any other information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 465 of 12 November.”
