Utility works begin today for 12 weeks on A52 at the Bingham Road junction. Temporary traffic lights are in place.
Highways England said:
‘We will be carrying out utility diversion works at Bingham Road (Harlequin) junction on the A52, which are scheduled to start today 21 June 2021 and are expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete.
‘There will be limited capacity at the junction while these works are carried out. Some congestion and delays are to be expected.
‘We advise customers to plan ahead and use alternative routes wherever possible while these works take place.
‘Please note that the precise dates and times of the works may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.’
‘Utility works (gas, electric, water and telecoms) to safely move the utilities in advance of our proposed main highway works.
‘We will carry out the work in phases along the A52, beginning near Golf Road and moving along the A52, ending near Bingham Road.
‘To maintain a safe environment for our workforce and customers, we’ll need to close one lane, put temporary traffic lights in place and close Carter Avenue at the junction with the A52; see image below. The traffic management will remain in place until the work is complete.’
