“Cracking down on the production and distribution of illegal drugs in our community is a key local priority for the Ashfield Neighbourhood Policing team and we will continue to react to intelligence as it comes in.
“The production of cannabis on this scale is an incredibly serious offence that is often linked to organised criminal gangs and associated with related offences from serious violence to people trafficking.
“This morning’s raid was the result of some really good local intelligence work and will certainly be followed up with others.
“To anyone else who thinks it’s okay to break the law in this way I’d also like to give a clear warning. We won’t tolerate your activities. We could well be watching you an already, and we would be paying you a visit sooner than you think.”
