14-tonne trailer stolen from a Rushcliffe farm, suspect due in court

A suspect will be put before the courts after a complex investigation into the theft of a 14-tonne trailer from a farm.

Officers were alerted to the theft from a farm in Upper Broughton, Rushcliffe, at around 4.30pm on 20 February 2022.

Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood Policing Team worked with the local community and pursued a number of leads as part of the investigation.

Inspector Rob Lawton, Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Rushcliffe, said: “This was a complex investigation but I am pleased that with the support of the community the suspect for this rural crime will now be brought before the courts.

“I hope this sends a strong message to the people in my rural communities that I am totally committed to tackling rural crime.
