The homes will be close to the already established developments off Melton Road.
Vistry Homes and John A Wells Ltd submitted plans for Phase 8 of the housing development on land near Sharphill Woods.
The plans are for 149 properties – a mix of bungalows, apartments, and two and four bed houses.
Some of the new properties will be affordable housing, including affordable rent, social rent and intermediate properties.
Rushcliffe Borough Council said: “Phase eight is the final phase of the housing element of the development, was identified in the Rushcliffe Local Plan Part 1 Core Strategy and adopted in December 2014. Outline planning permission for the wider development was granted in September 2018.
“This latest planning application was submitted with details of 149 dwellings for the northern part of the site and these reserved matters were approved by the Council on June 7.”
