Plans for more than 150 new homes near Hucknall have been given the green light.
Gedling Borough Councillors voted on Wednesday 3 June to approve plans by Persimmon for 158 new homes in Linby, on the outskirts of Hucknall.
The reserved matters approval follows outline approval for housing on the site that was granted back in 2022.
Located at the Top Wighay Farm development already under construction, these 158 new homes will comprise a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom properties. Bungalows have also been planned for the site.
27 of the new homes will be designated for affordable rent and discount market homes.

The Top Wighay Farm development is a large mix-used project made up of both housing and land for business use in addition to plans for a new primary school and community spaces.
Areas of open space have also been planned, including a children’s park, a multi-games area and sports pitches.
Significant funding for local infrastructure is being delivered via both an existing section 106 agreement for the wider site and Community Infrastructure Levy contributions.
George Breed Head of Planning at Persimmon Nottingham, said: “We’re delighted to have these plans for new, high-quality homes approved.
“This development will provide a range of homes for different buyers and we look forward to engaging with the local community to bring these exciting plans to fruition.”
