A man has been sentenced after over 40 cannabis plants were found at his home.
Gary Widdowson, 34, from Worksop, was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday (5 August).
Widdowson pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply at a previous hearing.
Officers found the plants after searching Widdowson’s house in relation to an unrelated matter. They also found scales and dried cannabis.
Detective Constable Marc Revill said: “We work hard to disrupt the supply of drugs and our officers are always on the look-out for signs of cannabis production.
“I’m pleased we were able to seize these plants, dismantle Widdowson’s operation and put him before the courts for this matter.”
Widdowson received a 16 month prison sentence which was suspended for two years.
