16-year-old assaulted by masked group in Nottingham

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in the street.

A 16-year-old boy suffered injuries to his face after being attacked by a group of people in Midland Way, Radford.

Around five or six male suspects are understood to have been involved, with the majority having their faces covered.

The group then fled from the scene following the assault, which happened at around 8pm on 16 October 2022.

An investigation has since been launched to establish what happened, with police appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

PC Daniel Humphrey, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This must’ve been a very daunting experience for the victim, who would’ve been unable to defend themselves against so many people.

“As a force, we condemn all acts of violence, and are determined to find those who were responsible for this attack.

“The public could have a role to play in helping us do that, so we’d ask anyone with any information to let us know by calling 101, quoting incident 628 of 16 October 2022.”
