A confirmed case is where a person has had a positive test result for Coronavirus.

There were 20,018 new people with a confirmed positive test result reported on 3 November 2020.

Between 31 January and 3 November 2020, there have been 1,073,882 people who have had a confirmed positive test result.

 Healthcare

Some people with Coronavirus have to go into hospital.

1,540 people with Coronavirus had to go into hospital on 29 October 2020.

Between 23 March and 29 October 2020, there have been 172,127 people who have had to go into hospital with Coronavirus.

There were 11,458 people in hospital with Coronavirus on 1 November 2020.

Some people who go to the hospital need to use a special device called a Mechanical Ventilator to help them breathe.

There were 1,075 Coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 2 November 2020.

 Deaths

There were 397 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for Coronavirus reported on 3 November 2020.
