The A52 remains closed both ways between A1 Grantham and A46 Saxondale due to a collision resulting in an overturned HGV
Due to the complex nature of the recovery work, the road is not expected to reopen before 21:00.
No delays on approach
National Highways said the closure is in place because of the incident, which has affected the route in both directions.
Local traffic can still access the A52 in both directions. Eastbound traffic can reach Bottesford, while westbound traffic can reach Sedgebrook.
There are currently no delays on approach, according to National Highways.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow diversion signs where in place.
