350 cannabis plants discovered after police raid a Wollaton house

An array of electrical and lighting equipment found inside has also been put out of use.

A 37-year-old man has been charged after around 350 cannabis plants were discovered following a police raid.

Acting on community intelligence, officers from the city west neighbourhood policing team attended a house in Woodbank Drive, Wollaton at around 8.20am yesterday.

The grow was quickly located and has now been taken away and destroyed by the force’s cannabis dismantling team.

An array of electrical and lighting equipment found inside has also been put beyond use.

Dan Tran, of Woodbank Drive, has been charged with the production of cannabis. He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).

Neighbourhood Inspector Gordon Fenwick said: “The production and supply of drugs has a damaging impact on the most vulnerable people in our communities and we remain committed to doing all we can to bring those involved to justice as well as preventing harmful drugs from hitting the streets.

“We will continue to target offenders who blight our communities with drugs and are carrying out extensive enquiries in order to track down who is behind this incident.”
