£425,000 funding for creative businesses in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

Create Growth N2 (CGN2) has secured a further £425,000 in government funding to continue delivering vital business support for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s thriving creative, digital, and creative technology sectors throughout 2025/26.

CGN2 offers local business owners access to expert guidance, investment readiness support, workshops, and innovation strategy through fully funded business growth and immersive technology programmes. The CGN2 website also features a regularly updated list of upcoming local business events and opportunities.

This latest investment builds on the success of CGN2’s previous year, during which 89 local businesses were supported, nine specialist business cohorts were delivered, and participating businesses collectively secured more than £649,000 in additional funding.

Councillor Linda Woodings, Nottingham City Council’s Executive Member for Regional Development, Growth and Transport, welcomed the confirmation of further funding:

“This is great news for both the city and county and demonstrates that government recognises the importance and strength of the creative and digital sector to our economy and the UK globally. Nottingham has always prided itself on our unique creativity and imagination, and the further funding will help build on this tradition by supporting and inspiring a new generation of innovators.”

This additional funding will further strengthen Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s creative and digital cluster – a key driver of local innovation, growth, and future economic success.

Funded by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport, CGN2 is delivered in partnership with the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, Innovate UK, Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and NBV Enterprise Solutions.

The support is available exclusively to eligible businesses based in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, with participants gaining access to free, specialised programmes designed to help them develop, innovate, and grow.

The first programme for 2025/26 launched in May, with more opportunities to follow throughout the year. Business owners can express their interest now at www.creategrowthn2.co.uk
