500 bikers turn up for Nottinghamshire fire service charity Easter Egg Run

On Sunday 2 April, the 42nd Egg Run took place – the 16th that Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has hosted.

Riders departed from Forest Recreational Ground in Nottingham at 10 am and made their way to Mansfield Fire Station.

This is where the ride finished, and where riders had the opportunity to sign up for upcoming Biker Down courses.

Over 500 bikes arrived at Mansfield safely, delivering 2,340 Easter Eggs to be distributed to various children’s centres, charities, hospitals, and care providers across the county.

Mansfield Fire Museum also opened its doors to the community on the day.

Fire Investigation Dog Handler, Tim Marston, said “I’m thrilled with the turnout at this year’s Egg Run. The event always takes some organising, but it just shows the commitment people have to bring some joy to our communities.

“Thank you to everyone that supported on the day, from riders to volunteers, to Mansfield firefighters. See you all next year on 24 March 2024!”
