The Broxtowe Neighbourhood team acted on community intelligence that a cannabis grow was being operated in Newlyn Drive, Ainsley.
A warrant was executed at around 7am yesterday (Tuesday 16 June) resulting in the discovery of 600 plants, believed to have a street value of more than half a million pounds, which have since been dismantled.
Three men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and production of cannabis.
Dervish Tobli, 28; Gramoz Pepkolaj, 29; and Vilson Dobrushi, 33, all of Newlyn Drive were charged last night and due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today.
Neighbourhood Inspector Gordon Fenwick said: “The amount of cannabis seized is thought to be worth more than half a million pounds so that’s a lot of drugs now taken out of the supply chain.
“We’re actively working with our community and intelligence teams to target drug supply in the area and regularly conduct covert and overt operations to investigate those suspected of being involved.
“We’re operating a no-tolerance approach to drug supply in Nottinghamshire as it preys on the most vulnerable in our society. We welcome anyone with any information about drug offences to talk to our officers or call us on 101 so we can continue to combat this crime.”
