£70,000 cannabis grow found on two floors of Nottingham house

Police discovered a cannabis grow and made three arrests after reports a group were breaking into a Nottingham home.

Officers attended Yatesbury Crescent, Bilborough, at 6am on Sunday 1 March and detained two suspects found inside the house.

A total of 70 plants were also discovered to be growing across both floors of the property.

Another man was later arrested following further inquiries in the neighbourhood.

A man, aged 20, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of burglary, cultivation of cannabis and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

Qazim Rranci, aged 25, of Hewitt Avenue, Coventry, West Midlands, has been charged with cultivation of cannabis.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday (2 March) and was remanded un custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 30 March 2026.

Detective Constable Natalia Montano, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Cannabis grows bring nothing but problems for communities as they are a magnet for further crime and offenders who want to steal the highly valuable crop.

“The grow found inside this property will be dismantled and we have also placed a suspect before the courts.”
