A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged in connection with a report of a serious assault in Nottingham which left the victim with a bleed on the brain and fractures to his eye socket.
Jamie Marriott, 27, of Royston Close, Nottingham, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 24 April 2020) charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 22 May 2020.
The charge relates to a report that a suspect allegedly punched a man to the ground and then stamped on his head, leaving him unconscious on the floor.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was found to have a bleed on the brain and fractures to his eye socket. He has since been discharged.
The alleged incident, which happened on Talbot Street, was reported to police shortly before midday on Wednesday.
