A woman was helped by a member of the public after she had reportedly been assaulted on a park.
Police were called to a shop in High Street, Hucknall at around 2pm yesterday after a woman entered a store fleeing an attacker.
It is believed that the woman had been punched and repeatedly kicked in Titchfield Park by a man before she fled to the shop.
When officers arrived at the scene, a 34-year-old man was quickly arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in Derbyshire Lane.
Detective Sergeant Abigail Goucher, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers acted fast to make an arrest in connection with the report of a domestic incident.
“As a force, we are committed to tackling domestic abuse and we will always look to support victims with specially trained officers while we take appropriate action against those who commit such offences.
“If you need support, please remember that you are not alone and there are services available to help you.”
