The road has been closed and emergency services are on the way.
Highways England said:
‘The A46 northbound at LodgeLane to #Farndon (B6166 Newark Farndon) traffic has been temporarily STOPPED due to a serious collision.
‘Nottinghamshire Police are currently at scene, Recovery are on their way to the area to assist.’
