A motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision.
The 40-year-old man was riding along Nottingham Road, Stapleford, at around 1.16pm on Friday (13 August) when he was in collision with a car at the entrance to the Aldi supermarket.
He was taken to the Queens Medical Centre but, despite the best efforts of medical staff, died of his injuries on Wednesday (18 August).
Nottinghamshire Police is investigating the incident officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Mark Baker, of the force’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “This was a tragic incident in which a man lost his life far too soon. His family are now being supported by specially trained officers and they have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
“As with all road traffic collisions where people are killed or seriously injured, we are working hard to understand exactly what happened and a full investigation will be undertaken.
