Police officers have arrested two men suspected of using an Airbnb flat to prepare and deal large quantities of drugs.
Police said:
‘We were alerted to suspicious activity around the rental property, in Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, after members of the public spotted packages being thrown out of top floor windows.
‘Masked men were also seen leaving the address on mopeds.
‘Further inquiries revealed one of the mopeds was being ridden using false registration plates.

‘We attended the property around 9am on Tuesday (17 June) and found suspected Class A drugs, cannabis, drug dealing paraphernalia, cash and multiple mobile phones during searches.
‘Two men were inside the flat and both were detained. While making the arrests, one officer was punched to the face and kicked and another suffered injuries to their arms and hands.
The suspects, aged 22 and 37, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, and theft of a motor vehicle.
‘The 37-year-old was further arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
Inspector Tim Cuthbert, neighbourhood policing inspector for Rushcliffe, said:
“Drug crime and the antisocial behaviour which it invariably attracts are a key priority for my team.
“The officers involved deserve great credit for making thorough inquiries, arresting these two suspects and recovering substantial amounts of drugs.
“Unfortunately, while making the arrests two officers were injured. We will not tolerate any assault on our officers, or any other emergency worker, and will always pursue those responsible.
“I’d also like to thank members of the public for initially alerting us to suspicious activity around this property, which has allowed us to make these arrests.
“We won’t hesitate to take positive action when we receive reports of people coming into our communities from elsewhere to deal drugs.
“Despite the arrests our inquiries are ongoing and we’d still like to hear from anyone with relevant footage or information which could assist.”
