Police investigating an assault in Newark are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A man was left with injured ribs after being attacked by three men, near Castle Gate roundabout.
The trio reportedly approached the man before assaulting him at random, around 9.30am on 21 August.
He was knocked to the ground and repeatedly injured to the ribs, with the victim breaking his toe in the incident too.
The unknown attackers then reportedly walked away in the direction of Newark town centre.
PC Will Green said: “This assault took place in broad daylight, close to the town centre, while a significant number of vehicles will have been passing through the area too.
“If you were walking or driving near Castle Gate around this time and saw anything, we want to speak to you urgently.
“Likewise, we’d like to see any dash-cam, CCTV, mobile, or doorbell camera footage that may have inadvertently captured what happened.
“This assault was completely unacceptable, so we’re determined to track down and name and shame the people responsible.
“Witness accounts and camera footage could help us do this, so we’d ask anyone with any of this information to please share it with us.”
