On Sunday there will be a Remembrance Service at St Edmund’s Church, Holme Pierrepont at 3.00 pm.
Everyone is welcome, there will also be refreshments served afterwards.
Cllr Jonathan Wheeler will be laying a wreath on behalf of the Mayor of Rushcliffe and told the Wire:
‘We had many local residents who served and ultimately gave their lives serving our country.
‘The Gamston and Holme Pierrepont area had a large number in particular who served, and St Edmund’s Church volunteers have put together fantastic tributes for these residents, and which can be viewed at the church.’
