An investigation is underway following reports of a serious assault in the street.
Police were called to Abbotsford Drive, St Ann’s, Nottingham, around 12.50pm today (10 November) after a man was found with stab wounds.
Officers are urging witnesses to come forward with any information they may have.
Chief Inspector Dean Gallacher, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“A team of detectives is already working to understand exactly what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident.
“To this end we want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything which could assist our inquiries.
“No matter how insignificant you think your information may be, we want to hear from you without delay.
“People in the area will understandably be concerned, but we currently believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.
“We will also be increasing patrols to provide reassurance while inquiries continue.”
