West Bridgford’s annual Christmas Lights Switch On event takes place on Saturday November 22 from 11am to 6pm, bringing a full day of free festive fun with music, entertainment and a new indoor Christmas market!
Visitors can enjoy the seasonal festivities along Central Avenue from midday and browse a wide range of delicious food and drink stalls.
The celebrations will lead up to the countdown to the lights switch on at 5pm by the Mayor of Rushcliffe, accompanied by festive illuminations and entertainment.
There are no fireworks this year.
The day will feature live entertainment and performances from local choirs, schools, and community groups, creating a wonderful atmosphere for all ages.
The indoor festive market will take place at Lutterell Hall on Church Drive from 11am to 4pm and showcase a variety of stalls from local and regional businesses, offering a chance to buy a range of seasonal treats to put a smile on the face of a friend or loved one.

Paddington’s Waffle Station, Nocona Gelato, La pitta/The Greeks, Yello Yard, Nina Pizza Notts, Thirsty farmer Cider, Vegetarian Rasoi, PORCO, Boxed Drinks Ltd – Coffee Trucks, The Lazy Fox Gifts, Heavenly Horsebox, Poblano Eatery, Syiok-Lah, Ghakarna, Dirty Chicken and Holbakes.
Event goers can also enjoy family-fun activities including an inflatable ice hockey game by the National Ice Arena, Santa’s Grotto and face painting.

“This year, we will be hosting a new indoor festive market at Lutterell Hall so that visitors can enjoy exploring seasonal gifts, treats, and crafts, come rain or shine! It will be the perfect opportunity for some early Christmas shopping!
“There will be plenty of live music from our talented local community groups, schools and choirs performing Christmas classics throughout the day followed by the mayor’s countdown to the lights switch on.
“This magical event is not one to miss so make sure you join us next Saturday November 22 and for family-friendly activities, festivities and cheer!”
