Early morning
The day begins with outbreaks of rain, particularly between 6am and 9am. Rain probabilities rise from around 40 per cent at 6am to 60 per cent at 7am, reaching 70 per cent by 8am. Showers continue to pass through at 9am with a 50 per cent chance of further rainfall. Temperatures remain steady at around 10C to 11C, feeling closer to 9C. Winds are light, generally from the south or south-south-east at around 7 to 8mph, and visibility remains good despite the showery conditions.
Midday
By late morning and into lunchtime, showers gradually ease. At 10am and 11am rain probabilities fall to around 50 per cent and 30 per cent respectively, and cloud begins to break. Temperatures hold at around 11C with a freshening south-westerly breeze shifting through to the west-south-west. Visibility improves and the weather becomes noticeably drier. By midday, only a small chance of isolated showers remains.
Afternoon
The afternoon brings the brightest spell of the day. Sunny intervals appear from 1pm onwards, and by 2pm skies are largely clear with prolonged sunshine expected through to around 3pm. Temperatures remain mild at 11C before gradually slipping to around 10C later in the afternoon. Winds ease, becoming a gentle westerly at 5 to 7mph. The chance of rain falls to around 20 per cent by early afternoon and drops to just 10 per cent by 3pm and 4pm.
Evening
Friday evening is calm, clear and noticeably cooler. By 5pm the temperature has fallen to around 9C, feeling similar in light westerly winds. Skies remain mostly clear with no rain expected, and the temperature continues to drop slowly through the evening to around 6C by 11pm. Winds remain light from the west or west-south-west. Visibility stays very good and humidity decreases into the mid-seventies before rising again later at night.
