The Met Office says much of the UK is set for a warm and largely settled weekend, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures reaching the mid to high teens under high pressure.
Early mist and fog may linger in some areas, but should clear to leave mostly dry and fine conditions.
From Sunday, a change begins to develop. A weakening band of cloud and patchy rain will move southeast, followed by brighter spells and scattered showers in northern areas, some of which could turn wintry over higher ground.
The Met Office says the shift is typical for March, with a move towards cooler and more unsettled conditions into next week as winds turn north-westerly. This will bring lower temperatures, brisk winds at times, and the potential for hill snow in the north.

Into Monday and Tuesday, a more active Atlantic pattern is expected, bringing rain to northern and western parts, with snow possible over Scottish mountains and stronger winds, including coastal gales in the north.
By midweek, conditions are likely to turn cooler and more changeable across the UK, with frequent showers. Some may be heavy and wintry over higher ground, with a chance of snow reaching lower levels in northern areas later in the day. Temperatures will be around or slightly below average.
Towards the end of the week, higher pressure may begin to build again from the west, leading to fewer showers and lighter winds. However, it is expected to stay on the cool side, with a risk of overnight frost.
