Armed police find cash and cocaine after Bulwell car stop

Firearms officers found cocaine and cash inside a car they’d pulled over.

The Armed Policing team were patrolling Bulwell when a vehicle aroused their suspicions.

This prompted the officers to stop the car in Hoewood Road, around 5.30pm on Tuesday (24 March).

After approaching the vehicle, they saw a bundle of cash near the armrest, so started to suspect drug activity.

They duly searched the rest of the car and found multiple deal bags of cocaine, more cash, and several mobile phones.

Based on all of this, officers arrested the 25-year-old man in the car on suspicion of possessing with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Sergeant Richard Hallam, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a good spot by our team, who were out on patrol when they saw a vehicle they believed could be involved in criminality.

“By acting on those suspicions, our officers were ultimately able to discover and seize several bags of cocaine as well as a substantial amount of cash.

“Any Class A drugs we can take off the streets and out of circulation is a positive thing, so it was good to make this arrest.”
