Police made a number of arrests and seized drugs and a firearm during a week of action across Nottinghamshire.
Officers carried out raids, searches and other enforcement activity during the national County Lines Intensification Week earlier in March. County Lines is a term used to describe gangs supplying drugs to other areas using dedicated mobile phone lines. The week of action aimed to disrupt those involved and protect vulnerable people they coerce into criminal activity.
As part of an investigation into one drugs line, officers attended an address in Hucknall at 10.25pm on 4 March. Items were observed to be thrown from a window when police arrived, and a carrier bag containing a firearm and ammunition was recovered from a flat roof.

Tiron Desuza, aged 26, of Watnall Road, Hucknall, has been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm when prohibited for life. He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 6 March and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 2 April 2026.
Officers made a further arrest and recovered a large amount of Class A drugs when a motorcyclist ran from them in Brierley Forest Park, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Wraps of cocaine and heroin were seized, along with a knuckleduster, following the incident around 3pm on 5 March. Inquiries revealed the bike had been stolen in Leicestershire in October last year.
Eighteen-year-old Corben Pearson, of Brierley Road, has been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, handling stolen goods and driving a motor vehicle without a licence or insurance. He appeared before magistrates on 7 March and was remanded in custody until 2 April 2026.
Officers from the County Lines team also joined neighbourhood teams and the Dog Section for an operation at Nottingham railway station. Information leaflets and posters on how to look out for signs of County Lines and cuckooing were delivered to a number of addresses.

Detective Sergeant Toni Smithurst, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Criminals working in the County Lines business model cause a significant amount of harm through the exploitation of vulnerable people, often using children to transport and supply Class A drugs. These groups also spread misery among the communities in which they operate, and this is why it is a priority for the force to target and disrupt those believed to be involved. The arrests, charges and seizures made are really positive developments, and it is testament to the hard work, dedication and teamwork shown by officers in the County Lines team and others across the force.”
Anyone with information about drug dealing is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or dial 999 in an emergency.
