Officers have released an image of a man they wish to trace after a student was subjected to racial abuse in the street.
The male victim, aged 19, was entering his student accommodation block when he was confronted by a man who was unknown to him.
The man was aggressive and intimidating and shouted racist abuse. The incident happened just after 1 pm on Monday 9 February in Norwood Road.

Officers have carried out a number of lines of enquiry to locate the suspect, which have included an extensive CCTV trawl of the area.
They have now released images of a man who could help further their investigation and are calling on the public’s help to identify him.

PC Helen Marriott, who is investigating the incident, said:
“This caused a great deal of distress for the victim, who was just making his way into his student accommodation block.
“This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable, and we are determined to catch the person responsible.
“We have released images of a man who could help us with our enquiries and are calling on the public’s help to identify him.
“Do you know the man in the pictures? Are you the man in the pictures? We understand that the images are not of the best quality, but we believe someone will know who he is.”
