West Bridgford 24-hour lights for gas main works for seven weeks at Abbey Road – Buckfast Way

Temporary traffic signals will be in place on a key route through West Bridgford for several weeks as part of utility works.

Cadent Gas is set to carry out mains replacement works on Buckfast Way, covering the stretch from the junction with Abbey Road to the junction with Eltham Road.

The works are scheduled to run from Monday 20 April 2026 until Tuesday 9 June 2026.

During this period, traffic management will be in operation 24 hours a day.

Three-way temporary signals will be used at the junction with Abbey Road, Newstead Drive and Rufford Way, while at other times rolling two-way signals and temporary systems will be in place. Only one set of lights will be in operation at any one time.

The works are expected to affect traffic flow along Buckfast Way and at nearby junctions, particularly at peak times, with motorists advised to allow additional time for journeys through the area.
